Who knows? This is one of a million (or more) graffiti images we found wandering the streets in London last week...even in the sleet and grey weather the street art jumps off the walls challenging a gloved hand to snap a quick pic. Our travel plans were significantly changed due to one son's illness; but he is OK so we were able to manage an unexpected and wonderful time in London for a few days. Who knows what is around the bend or how the most elaborate travel plans will really play out? All summed up in our favorite expression: "oy".

Oh my gosh, I'm headed out on a big adventure soon and trying to find time to prepare my journal which I am dedicating to this trip. I had to have a spot to sketch all my shoe choices as I have spent an inordinate amount of time figuring out what I am packing. I love filling a page with these rectangles which, in this spread, will be dedicated to all of the things I am doing to get ready for this trip (here is a picture of the unfinished spread). I have done a few pages with spray inks, a few with chalks and some with shaped pages. Whew. Now that this is complete I am ready to tackle the clothes! Last weekend I had the wonderful pleasure of teaching at both the Art Student League and Two Hands Paperie. After an art-filled weekend I made a quick trip to Florida to check on my dad, and managed to carve out some beach time with my sister and hubbie, complete with journal pages and a frozen pina colada! Ahhhhh, getting my toes in the warm sand and feasting my eyes on the vivid colors did the soul and body some good after the brutal temps in Denver and the family challenges.
I also arranged to teach a new art journal class in January at my all time favorite spot, the Golden Fiber Arts Studio (in Golden, about 30 minutes from Denver); check out the workshop page for details! |
