Oh my gosh; what a joyful and terrific Saturday working with 10 students in Paonia, Colorado!! If you have never been there you might consider a trip (and of course a stop at Ollie's Ice Cream is a must, along with a few winery tours!!). Thanks so much to our host, Susie Coombe, and the wonderful students. We sketched and sketched and ate and laughed - the day raced by - and we filled our pages and explored new techniques. This was one of the best workshops ever thanks to the good humor and gorgeous surroundings. I was honored to spend the day 10 wonderful ladies!

 Ready to explore another oasis in the city?
Our next sketch meet-up will be at the Four Mile Historic Park, 715 S Forest St, Denver, CO 80246. Weds, June 8, 1:00pm - 3:00ish...there is a $5 entry fee which you pay at main entrance, once you wander in it is easy to find great shade, great picnic tables and great views to inspire an afternoon of sketching! No need to RSVP, just show up if you'd like to join a community of Urban Sketchers in the heart of Denver (Glendale actually!). (No instruction, just fun) |
