Our Thanksgiving center piece, Friday morning. The candle sticks and vase were my grandmother's. We love using them; it is weird to think of the ground these objects have covered. Family myth says the candlesticks came from Europe with her mother.
Susie and I arrived at the Tree Haus Bistro last week a little early to have time to sketch outside. They have a wonderful garden seating area and the day was crisp; so I started to sketch out the crazy bright blue house across the street in preparation for planning the next Adventure Journal series in December. The journal meet-up was great fun! Susanna demonstrated a foam-stamp technique that we all loved. We talked about trying it in a journal exchange during our next meet-up in December. I'll bring the sheets of foam, everyone else can bring their favorite stamp ink pads and we will all create a tree stamp to use on each other's journal pages. I hope you will join in this final meet up of the year!
