Earlier this week I hosted a journal meet-up at the National Western Stock show and - yeehah - was it ever fun! Thanks Gina for helping with admissions, thanks Crista for your insights into the art show (and the catalogue), thanks Susie,Amie, Anne, Bev, Barbara, Joyce and Jill for all the laughs and your adventurous spirit. For the first time in my life I not only got on top of a real bull (for a picture with Susie) but I was lifted off the beast by a mighty cute cowboy. I am already planning out the outfit for the photo op next year! Amie easily won the prize of the best-dressed (award to be presented soon). Our next meet-up will be at the Botanic Garden in the spring unless you have a cool place to recommend before we go to the gardens. If so, please email me your suggestions!
What a lovely way to welcome 2014! I had the honor of teaching a Journal workshop in Golden last Saturday and it felt like the 4 hours "set" the new year's creative focus. Thanks, Kathy, for sharing the concept of wide open spaces as a way to address a quiet house and shift of identity. Thanks to all the participants who played with the materials in new ways and helped to co-teach. And thanks to Tamara for hosting; I love this workshop spot as it is full of light and creative energy.
