Saturday morning brought some challenges (scheduling conflicts, space issues, etc.) but the joy and creative energy all the students in the Healing Pages brought flew us right by the mud and landed us in a new space. Here we are at the end of the day with works in progress, and big smiles. Thanks to all for your inspiration and help! Each time I teach this class the community of students is unique; the support, comfort and positive energy really is remarkable.
Look at these fantastic hand-made journals using the mono prints we made last week! Each one unique, each book filled with textures and colors. We used paper bags as the base and played with the single sheet folded book and got some really spectacular results. Thanks to all the students for an inspiring time together at the Art Student League of Denver.
The colors were luscious and the layering delightful (and the chocolate yummy!!) in our first of two sessions of mono printing. Next week we will turn these beauties into hand-made books. What a great class!
Yay Marj! The very creative and generous Marj B. took the white bag challenge and look at her journal pockets (top 2 pics) and doors and pop-up. Wow! I had not thought about cutting them apart for individual pages to hold photos but these look great. Thanks for sharing your work (and your chocolate at each workshop)!
